Jan Novak has spent over 5 decades combining his time behind the camera lens with both darkroom and digital photography production. His passion is working with clients to create unique photography pieces that enhance their interior. He has been fortunate to continue offering his custom service to clients in both Canada and the USA in the previous years by having them photograph their wall space while he creates a portfolio of images based on their requested style. Knowing the importance of visualizing the result prior to purchasing an art piece gives the client confidence in knowing they will appreciate their artwork for many years. Every custom piece is created at his studio in Horseshoe Valley. The process begins by using a variety of high-end digital cameras along with the right lens for the image. Printing is completed after selecting from a variety of fine art acid-free base papers. Each photograph is then mounted on an exceptionally durable substrate in a high heat vacuum press, followed by a UV protective finish, and a choice of a frameless or framed piece. This may also include a large format panoramic or a triptych. Jan’s combination of growing up in Prague during his youth and living in various parts of Canada has given him an appreciation of European architecture and street scenes, along with the many panoramic landscapes of Georgian Bay and the Canadian Rockies.
