Bio
James Alexander (Jimi) McKee has been involved in the art field since 1959. I am always "learning by doing" in all fields of art and mechanics. I have rebuilt dozens of antique launches and sports cars over the years. All of these require an artistic hand.
I have been in pin stripe detailing, illustrating and Canadiana restoration for my complete life. My 1890 gallery was off the beaten path so that I could make noise in working on my many projects. The world is creeping in so losing that privacy with condomania creeping in, we moved, and being 80 makes it more difficult to create large 3-dimensional illusions. This year I have made many new imaginative folk art pieces. Explosion of colour is my forte. We are just off Highway 11 and Laclie Street in Orillia so access is much easier. No wonkie floors like our old house.
