Stan W Tait has been creating Sterling Silver Jewellery crafted solely by hand for 49 years. I use a technique called forging which basically is the craft of taking flat or curved sheets of silver and creating sculptural pieces of art. Each piece is made by hand honouring the timeless tradition of individual craftsmanship. Defined by his quest for simple elegance, my work uses clean flowing lines, simple elegance, harmony and balance and is polished to a high sheen. This year I have been focusing on specialty pieces that include semi precious stones, textures and repurposed gold. My work is contemporary, classic and timeless and has been worn by clients around the world. I have showcased my work in such galleries as the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, The Quest in Banff, The Art Gallery of Ontario and many others.
